What is the ho'omanalowai stem grant?
Kapi‘olani Community College (KCC) is a recipient of a Department of Education scholarship grant. This grant awards scholarships to select students pursuing Secondary Education careers in the STEM disciplines or other STEM fields. KCC students may receive up to $1000 per year (in bi-annual increments), with the potential to receive funding for conference travel. The goal is to support full-time STEM and/or Secondary Education students interested in pursuing a career as a STEM Educator in HawaiÊ»i.
Recipients must meet the following criteria:

(1) Be a full-time student at KCC pursuing one of the following
degrees/certificates:

Associate in Science in Natural Science (ASNS - All Concentrations);

Associate in Science in Natural Science (ASNS - All Concentrations) + Certificate of Achievement in STEM Education
(2) Have a GPA 2.5 or higher
